Franchise FAQs
- What does the franchise cost?
- The initial franchise package is £12,000 + VAT (£14,400 including VAT), paid in advance. The first three monthly fees are waived; from month four the fee is £149 + VAT a month, paid in advance.
- What's in the initial package?
- One fully fitted demonstration building you can use as a showroom or office, onboarding and training, approved marketing materials, and access to the product catalogue, pricing and quotation tools, 3D designer and order support. Once paid for and handed over, the demonstration building is yours — you keep it if you leave.
- How am I paid?
- You earn commission on each accepted order you introduce, once head office receives the customer's cleared payment. Commission is paid monthly with a statement, within 14 days of the month end. A £120 (inc. VAT) administration deduction applies per building module.
- Is there a sales target?
- No minimum sales target is set or promised. You fund your own local advertising using approved materials.
- Who is the franchisor?
- Steel Frame Rooms is a trading name of Retail ABC Ltd (company number 08568864), which is the franchisor.
- Do I need to hold stock?
- No. You display a demonstration building. Customer buildings are made to order and delivered by head office.
- Who contracts with the customer?
- Head office contracts with every customer, takes payments and manages manufacture, delivery and aftercare. You design and sell.
- What kind of business suits it?
- Established businesses with outdoor display space and customer-facing sales staff — such as car dealerships, garden centres, outdoor living retailers and builders' merchants.
- Are territories exclusive?
- No. Territories are non-exclusive with no protected radius. Head office may appoint other agents, sell direct and handle national accounts anywhere. Leads are shared under a published lead-allocation policy.
- Are showrooms already open?
- Retail ABC sells hundreds of garden rooms a year direct to customers, but is moving towards the franchise model and we're currently accepting applications.
